For best performance, we recommend using Rexel brand staples with a Rexel stapler. No. 16 staples are available on the Rexel website. You can also reach out to the Rexel consumer care team through the site for more information.

Question

Are there really 5000 staples in a box?

My algebra students calculated that if there are 210 staples in one strip and 24 strips in one box then the total staples count should be 5040. Can you please explain why it says 5000 on the box?

Hello,

We appreciate your students' savvy math skills! Due to market standards, we have it listed as 5,000 per box. We feel the 40 extra staples is a bonus and we are not giving you less than the standard 5,000.

Thanks!

Question

I am looking for the right staples for my Swingline Model #8280x stapler

I am getting a lot of jams which involve two staples being pushed into the stapling output area after I have successfully stapled a document. We are currently using generic staples, and I am wondering if they might be the problem. I want to purchase the right staples so I can avoid future problems.

Question

Which staple has a heavier gauge for my Swingline 101 Tacker, 101-4 or 101-5?

I've used this for upholstery jobs. I'm quite certain that anything thin gauge would not hold and/or would corrode. We live in a corrosive environment. What is the best available replacement staple from any source that you know of?

The gauge (wire thickness) is the same for the 101-4 and 101-5. The -4 has 4/16" or 1/4" legs. The -5 has 5/16" legs.

Try Stanley TRC604T or TRC605T. I think Arrow 404 or 405 might work too. They're 1/2" crown.

Question

What is the exact specification of your S7035314 staple?

I have had this swingline 101 tacker for what must be 30 years and I cannot get staples in the UK to fit it. the original size your company supplied for it was 101#4 and 101#5. I have used this this gun regularly since i purchased it all those years ago and it still works better than any other similar gun i have tried, but I have just run out of staples. If you can tell me the exact size the 101#4 /5 staples were, I'm sure I can get another 30 years use from this brilliant staple gun.
thanks
David.

It appears the 101 was designed for 1/2" crown staples with 1/4" or 5/16" legs.

Try Stanley TRC604T or TRC605T. I think Arrow #604 or #605 might work too.
